Some question whether it is coconut good for us or not ?
The charity quotes points out that coconut oil is around 86 per cent saturated fat – around one third more than butter – which is 52 per cent. She says: “We know that diets high in saturated fat are associated with increased bad (LDL) cholesterol in the blood, and high cholesterol is a risk factor for coronary heart disease (CHD) and stroke. “There has been speculation that some of the saturated fat present in coconut oil may be better for us than other saturated fats, but so far there is not enough good-quality research to provide us with a definitive answer.”
Old healthy and medicinal people only judge saturated fat is bad.
But, they failed to explain why it is bad, and how the mechanism in our body.
Coconut oil is saturated fat, but we have to understand what is saturated fat. Saturated actually is complete carbon chain in fat. As easy to understand, saturated mean that is stable and not easy to oxidation.
New research now not only see the view of fat from saturated or unsaturated. Their concern more into the Carbon Chain. It’s mean that short chain, medium chain and long chain.
